What I do as a Fractional CMO
You get one person who owns the whole of a company’s marketing. Strategy, campaigns, films, content, reports. No director on the payroll and no juggling five subcontractors. One contact, one invoice, one head responsible for the lot. That is the short version.
My name is Przemek Dąbrowski. I have been in marketing for over ten years, and I help industrial, manufacturing and construction companies sell more. No “comprehensive solutions”, no art for art’s sake. Every move should lead to enquiries and sales. The rest is decoration.
How I work: on data, not on gut feel
I do not run marketing because “we should post something”. I start with numbers and with the question of what should change in sales.
Diagnosis first. An audit of the company, the competition and how your clients actually buy. I sit down with the sales team, because they know what blocks the decision. Then a strategy with quarterly and yearly goals, tied to sales, not to likes. I test the work, check what delivers, and every month I show in a report what worked and what went in the bin.
In practice it means you always know what you pay for and what you get back.
Who I do it for
I chose industry, manufacturing and construction because these are companies with a great product and a weak story. They have machines, plants and finished projects nobody outside the industry knows about. Sales rest on trade fairs and referrals, while online sits empty.
These industries have their own rules, and you have to understand them. Several people make the decision, from an engineer to the board. The sales cycle is long. The product is technical, so specifics, references and numbers matter more than a pretty banner. On top of that comes recruitment: winning a good operator or engineer today takes an employer brand. I handle that too.
What I do in practice
Depending on what you need, I come in as strategist alone or take execution on as well, myself or with a network of trusted subcontractors.
- Marketing strategy and reporting.
- Film and photo production: product, how-to, employer branding.
- Social media and paid campaigns: LinkedIn, Meta, Google, YouTube.
- Email marketing, website, SEO, putting AI into the processes.
- Workshops and training for in-house teams.

Where this came from
I threw my first party in high school, through Facebook, because I knew nobody at the new school. It worked, I earned my first money, and that is how Event Makers started. Three years of parties around Dębica, promoted on social media. It was my first sales funnel and my first “it works or it does not”.
Then management studies in Kraków and my first startup, Cleaners.Cloud, an app for ordering cleaning. I ran all the marketing. Traffic was high, conversion was not. The most expensive lesson of my career: the best marketing will not sell a weak product. So today I start with strategy and questions about the product, not with “let’s post something”.
After that came B2B production work for the bike brand 4-Bike, scaling content at the Kraków Startup City foundation and the “Startup in 60 seconds” series. At some point I realised my biggest value is not single tasks, but strategy tied to delivery. I switched my business activity to an advertising agency and started working as a fractional CMO.
What a real engagement looks like
The fullest example is BWS Event Support, a company that supplies technical event crews across Poland and Europe. Since 2023 I have run their marketing as a whole: strategy, employer branding, TikTok from zero to a few thousand followers, a YouTube channel, a newsletter reaching as far as the Middle East, and a platform for training new people. The result is more candidates and more clients abroad.
For Ulisses, B2B software for rental and service, I reorganised the offer around the client and designed a landing page and a funnel that turns traffic into leads. For the University of Agriculture I ran an entrepreneurship TikTok and trained dozens of students. For the Business Tailors agency I produce video for universities. The full list is in the case studies.
Why a fractional CMO and not a full-time hire
- You pay for skills and the result, without the cost of a full-time hire. You scale the engagement to the budget.
- I have worked with many companies and industries, so I bring proven solutions and a fresh eye.
- I start from day one, with no months-long onboarding.
- I look at marketing from the outside, free of internal politics.
I wrote the comparison with an agency, with the downsides of both, separately: fractional CMO vs agency. And if you are torn between a full-time hire and external work, see when to hire a fractional CMO.
Marketing does not have to be a black box. With a good strategy and real measurement it can become your strongest sales tool. If you want to turn it into concrete enquiries, drop me a line. We will talk about your company.
