Marketing for trade and distribution companies

You sell wholesale or distribute, margins are thin, and the client compares offers in five minutes. As a fractional CMO I take it on: positioning, content and campaigns that attract better clients, not discount hunters.

The specifics

Why marketing in trade is different

In trade and distribution everyone carries a similar product, so price, availability and trust decide the choice. It is easy to fall into a discount war. Marketing should give the client a reason to choose you over the cheaper offer next door, and attract the ones who stay longer.

How I work

Diagnosis, plan, result

01

Diagnosis

An audit of the company, the competition and what really sets you apart. Conversations with the reps who know the client.

02

Plan

Concrete steps: how we position the brand, which content and campaigns we run. You know what I do and why.

03

Result

Better clients and fewer conversations only about price. Every month you can see whether the plan works.

FAQ

FAQ

We have good reps, why do we need marketing?

So the reps do not start from zero. Good marketing warms up the client, builds trust in the brand and provides materials that shorten the sales conversation. It supports sales, it does not replace them.

We only sell B2B, wholesale. Will this work?

Yes. I pick channels and content differently than in consumer sales, because a company makes the decision, not an impulse. I lean on LinkedIn, content, email and materials for the sales team.

What is the notice period?

None. The contract is open-ended, with no notice period on either side. If it works, we continue. If it does not, we part ways. Zero risk, no long-term lock-in.

Who can run marketing for a B2B trade company without an agency?

A fractional CMO, which is what I do at dabrowskimedia: one person runs the whole of a trade company's marketing, from strategy to campaigns and content for B2B buyers. Engagements start at 8,000 zł net per month, with no agency and no in-house department to build.
