50+ online course accesses sold

online course for technical crews

The client

BWS Event Support provides technical crews for events: stagehands, technicians and production staff. I have worked with them as fractional CMO since 2023. The full, broader BWS case is written up separately. This is the story of one specific product.

Diagnosis

Every new stagehand has to get up to speed: how to behave on an event, what to pack, what not to do, how working with a client looks. Until now that knowledge lived in the heads of experienced people and was passed on in person. That costs time and does not scale when over 500 people join the work every year.

The idea: pack that knowledge into a single product. An online course new people go through before they step on the floor, and one that can also be sold outside, to people beyond the BWS base.

Plan and execution

  • I built the entire training platform from scratch (video hosting, access, course path).
  • I prepared all the content needed: scripts, filming, editing. 13 videos, 65 minutes of material.
  • An AI-based quiz after each module to check the material actually landed.
  • A sales video and reels promoting access to the course.
  • An ad campaign on Meta Ads and TikTok: creative, setup, optimisation for sales.

The work from idea, through production, to sales in one person. Not just record a course, but build the funnel that sells it.

Result

  • Over 50 course accesses sold.
  • The platform runs and trains new people without pulling in the team from scratch every time.
  • The Meta and TikTok campaign delivered sales beyond the BWS base itself.

Knowledge that used to live only in people’s heads became a product that earns money and takes load off the team.
